How the Miss Nebo website, member portal and mobile app handle your information.
Last updated October 2, 2026
The Miss Nebo Scholarship Program (“Miss Nebo”, “we”) runs missnebo.org, the member portal, and the Miss Nebo app for iPhone and Android. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We don’t sell personal information and we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
If you send us a message through the contact form, we keep your name, email, phone number (if given) and message so the board can reply. If you apply to compete, we keep the information on the application form, including date of birth and, for Teen applicants, a parent or guardian’s contact details. If you sign up to volunteer, ask about sponsoring, join the list to hear when applications open, buy tickets, vote in People’s Choice, donate, order ahead, bid in a silent auction or buy a program book ad, we keep the name and contact details you give us for that purpose. Program book ad files and the words you send for your ad are kept privately; only the board can open them, to prepare the printed program. Silent auction bidders’ names are seen only by the board. People’s Choice vote totals are seen only by the board; the public sees only the winner. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security.
The portal is only for people a Miss Nebo director has added: directors, titleholders, contestants and their parents or guardians. For them we keep:
Sign-in uses a one-time code or link sent to your email; we never ask for or store a password.
Anyone 13 or older can make a free Sashboard account in the app to follow pageants. These accounts are run by Sashboard, not by any one pageant, and they don’t give access to any pageant’s member portal. For them we keep:
We don’t sell this information or use it to track you across other apps or websites. You can change it, sign out, or delete the account yourself in the app (the settings button on your home screen › Delete my account); that removes your account and sign-in straight away.
Directors can see member information so they can run the program. Titleholders and contestants see only what’s shared with them and their own files; a contestant’s linked parent or guardian sees the same as the contestant. Private files and paperwork are stored privately and opened with short-lived links.
Some information is public only when you or the directors choose it: titleholder profiles on the homepage, the Hall of Fame, event listings, sponsors and gallery photos. We only post photos of minors with a parent’s permission.
The website, member portal and app run on Sashboard, a platform built for pageant programs. Sashboard hosts and operates the software for Miss Nebo and handles your information only to provide that service to us: storing it securely, signing you in, and sending the emails, app notifications and ticket passes we ask it to send.
SashBoard relies on a small number of providers, each only for its job: Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Vercel (website hosting), Resend (email delivery), Apple Push Notification service (iPhone notifications and Apple Wallet pass updates), Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android notifications), Stripe (tickets, People’s Choice, donations, orders, auction and program book ad payments; card details go straight to Stripe and are never stored by us or Sashboard), OpenStreetMap (map images on event pages), Photon by Komoot (address search when directors add an event venue), and Google Fonts and jsDelivr (fonts and code libraries on the website).
The Miss Nebo’s Teen competition includes contestants under 18. A parent or guardian must be listed on a Teen application and receives their own linked access. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13 through the app.
Free Sashboard accounts are only for people 13 and older. We ask for a birth month and year before an email address; if someone is under 13, no account is made, and an account found to belong to someone under 13 is deleted. Teens 13 to 17 aren’t offered marketing emails.
Member access ends when a director deactivates it or after a season wraps up. We keep program records (such as past titleholders and paperwork) as long as the organization needs them, and delete information on request unless we must keep it.
You can update your profile in the portal at any time, turn off app notifications in your phone’s settings, or delete your account yourself: in the portal or app, open Settings › Privacy › Delete my account. That removes your login, profile and files straight away; messages you sent in group conversations stay, shown as “Former member”, and records we must keep (such as applications and payments) lose their link to you. You can also ask us to correct or delete your information. To make a request, use the contact form or ask a Miss Nebo director.
If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
